9-3 Area of Circles

Area of a Circle = Pi x radius squared.

Radius = 1/2 of the diameter of a circle.

Pi is approx = to 3.14

Circumference = 2 x Pi x Radius

draw the picture! make sure that your answer makes sense!

Always use Pi = 3.14 not 22/7!!!

REMEMBER - a number raised to the power of 2 is not MULTIPLIED by 2 it means to multiply the number times itself!
